Fitness Slayers!® was created with the intention of helping women and men take a "fierce" approach to living a healthy lifestyle. This includes "slaying" all of the barriers that keep an individual from regularly practicing healthy behaviors, such as the lack of time for physical and spiritual fitness and the inability to eat healthy.
Who is Behind Fitness Slayers!®?
Dr. Ellisha Wells found her passion for health and wellness when she was an intern at Tampa General Hospital while working on her undergraduate degrees in psychology and music at The University of Tampa. While there, she created and conducted Healing Notes, a health and wellness program that used the power of music to promote stress management through empowerment drumming, music with meditation, and aerobics. It was through the Healing Notes program that Dr. Wells initially thought of becoming a music therapist, but then realized she was meant to provide much more. Her dream career involved health, wellness, and fitness. Dr. Wells’s career goal within the health, wellness, and fitness profession is to educate others about various health issues and how they can affect an individual's health and well-being, as well as how to correct those issues. She wants to serve as both a role model and a trusted advisor to the people she wants to help achieve a healthy lifestyle.
